Visiting Griffith Observatory for my first time in over 20 years was one of the best moments I've had in recent memory. As an enthusiastic of astronomy, it is a gem of a place rich with museum oriented showcases, memorable live shows, and sights of Los Angeles that are about as good as it gets. I highly recommend paying to see the "Centered in the Universe" show and visiting the downstairs museum area when you visit. Note that there's a cafe, and parking is an absolute nightmare.

I visited the new location today! Delicious soup and bread. The piroshkis are always tasty. I highly recommend for breakfast and lunch. Coffee is great too! Lots of room for families and a coffee,goody with a friend. 💜

There is a scenic drive on the up to the observatory and once there the views are spectacular, especially at sunset. There were lots of people there but moving around was easy. There is a perfect view of the night sky with several constellations to be seen. The live show in the planetarium far exceeded my expectations. If you’re a fan of astronomy then this is definitely a place to visit when you’re in town.

Palco de filmes como La la land e Transformers, o Griffith Observatory é um passeio imperdível para quem visita Los Angeles. Localizado numa montanha onde é possível ter uma vista privilegiada da cidade, do letreiro de Hollywood além de um por do sol espetacular. Diversas exposições acontecem dentro do prédio, bem como eventos organizados por entusiastas no lado de fora. Quando fomos, estava rodando um encontro de astrônomos amadores, com possibilidade de visualizar planetas e estrelas. Também é possível ver através do telescópio do observatório. Por não possuir estacionamento, sugiro ir de táxi ou Uber que te deixam na porta, ou estacionar lá embaixo e subir a montanha a pé. Vale a visita.

sincerely recommended. must have in LA!!! incredible view, free and amazing museum and opportunity to watch planets from the telescope. the best time to come is before the sunset, when it's still bright. wait till the sunset, enjoy the views and use an opportunity to visit observatory. they have super lectures, films, excursions. everything is free of charge. reccomended to use the public transport, as it goes just directly to the observatory doors! no parking search needed. the parking space is a problem at the sunset time. all the pictures added were taken the same day approximatly 4 PM - 7 PM (february )
